The Walnuts Shopping Centre has recognised shopper demands and is installing free Wi-Fi on Saturday 12th January which will allow bargain hunters to compare prices, chat with friends via social media, and even continue working with easy access to the internet on their smartphones or tablets as they enjoy some retail therapy.
The
Walnuts is launching the free service showing it is reacting to the needs of
shoppers as people are becoming increasingly active online as they go about
their day to day lives.
Customers wishing to use Wi-Fi can do
so free of charge. After registering, they will be redirected to a branded
webpage and will then be able to surf online.
Retailers and restaurant owners
can also make use of the service by offering discounts and special offers to
those logging on.
Martin Price, centre manager for The Walnuts Shopping
Centre, commented: “This is an exciting time for The Walnuts and we are pleased
to announce that the new free Wi-Fi is one way we are listening and responding
to what our shoppers want".
This
news follows the recent announcement of the £10 million development of Walnuts
Shopping Centre to include a seven-screen cinema, retail and restaurant units
and a new and improved public square.
