‘Orpington’s Got Talent’ says The Walnuts Shopping Centre!

On Friday 9th April Orpington’s Got Talent was launched at The Walnuts Shopping Centre. The competition will be part of the town’s Summer Fete on Saturday 17th July. At the launch the Tristar Twirlers Majorette Troop paraded through the centre and the Deputy Mayor of Bromley, Councillor Gordon Norrie, released 500 balloons, which have since landed over all corners of the county inviting local people to take part in the talent competition.

If there is someone in the community with a disco dancing dog or perhaps has a voice like Charlotte Church then we want to know about it. The winner of the competition will receive £500 prize money!

To enter, it couldn’t be easier, simply fill in this entry form by Wednesday 16th June. If the judges like what they see then performers could be onstage at The Orpington Summer Fete on Saturday 24th July competing for the £500 cash prize!

Martin Price, Centre Manager, said: “The launch of ‘Orpington’s Got Talent’ was fantastic and we are confident that the people of Kent have lots of talent that they can show us. With £500 up for grabs as well as a host of runner up prizes, we are anticipating a fantastic response and are really looking forward to seeing people’s hidden talents!
