The Orpington Town Lights Switch on is happening on the 17th November this year and plans are in full swing to make this a brilliant event again !
The Walnuts Shopping Centre will have lots going on from 3pm onwards............ Our famous FREE Santa's Grotto will be opening it's doors and we have a free gift for every child.
The Grotto will be inside the centre opposite the Fragrance Shop and will be a "Winter Wonderland" for visitors.
We have TWO very special guests making their FIRST APPEARANCE at the Walnuts - "Walter & Wanda Walnutter" will be here to meet and greet all who visit! They are our NEW Centre Mascots and will be appearing at every event in the Centre! We hope you like them !
We will also be launching our Competition "TWEET FOR A SEAT " for 20 lucky guests to enter and WIN a GOLDEN INVITATION to join Walter & Wanda plus Father Christmas and some of his Elves at Bella Italia for Breakfast on the 18th December! This will be a fabulous event so we hope you will join in the fun and enter! WOW so much going on and to really make the Grotto EXTRA special we also have a TALKING POSTBOX for children to write a little letter to Father Christmas and post! He really does talk and even tells the odd joke!
Outside in Market Square we have a fair with lots of rides and stalls for children to enjoy and get in the spirit of this family evening! (Charges will apply).
Nando's will also be on site grilling their famous chicken wings for you to try! A taster before they open here in early December!
Plus BR6 staff & pupils will be supplying hot mulled wine & tasty snacks to keep the Winter Chill at bay!
The annual parade from the Centre following Father Christmas will take place around 7PM to go and watch the Fireworks which are being set off from Sainsburys Car Park roof this year! So really no need to go anywhere else.
With restaurants Deans Diner, Bella Italia, Creams and Weatherspoons all open and ready to feed and water you what more could you want - ITS ALL HERE!
