Orpington is engaging in a Dementia Awareness Week from 14th - 20th May and many local businesses are joining in to learn how to assist customers & visitors who suffer from this debilitating illness.
ODEON Orpington is also doing it's bit and will hold the first Dementia Friendly film screening of the iconic Mamma Mia! for all to have a good sing-a-long to!
The showing will be on Tuesday 16th May and will be sympathetic to sufferers with brighter lighting, non specific seating, no adverts, and an interval to allow guests to have a little wander and stretch their legs in between.
Free tea, coffee and biscuits will also be available before the movie to encourage guests to mingle and socialise.
