Florists, Green Elegance at Walnuts Shopping Centre, has been given a fresh lease of life and a new name after being recently bought by long term employee Sue Ball and her business partner, Sara Abbey.
Renamed A Time for Flowers, the local Orpington florist will be undergoing a number of improvements in the coming month including replacement of the awnings, new colours and a smartening of its appearance. Sue Ball also hopes to increase the current offer to include ceramics, candles and gifts to complement their existing products and services.
Sue Ball has worked at the Walnuts outlet for the last 12 years and decided to buy the store when the original owners, who were retiring, approached her in October. Sue commented: “The original owners always knew I was interested in eventually owning the business and when it was offered to me I decided to take the plunge. I have kept all the original staff and we will continue to offer the same high level of customer service.
The business is doing well and we have a loyal customer base. A Time for Flowers will be here for the long term.”
