ArtStyle based at the Walnuts Shopping Centre, Orpington helped students at St Mary’s School, Beckenham with their ‘St Mary’s aquarium’ scene. The artwork was painted in the quiet room area of the school between Monday 18^th and Friday 22^nd July.

 

The mural was designed and drawn completely by the students aged five to 10 and consisted of zany sea creatures and moody sharks. The entire project took three days to complete.

 

The under the ocean themed mural generated mass enthusiasm with all 400 students at the school talking about the new piece of artwork that they consider to be their own.

 

Yvonne Devine, owner of ArtStyle commented: “My staff and I are delighted to have volunteered and assisted with the creation of the mural at St Mary’s School. It was lovely to see the students enthused by art and see their design come to life. If we have inspired some of the students to follow their artistic dreams later on in life, that would be amazing.
